9 Mr Louis Ng Kok Kwang asked the Minister for Social and Family Development for each year in the past five years, how many Child Protection Officers have experience of (i) less than one year in service (ii) between one to three years (iii) between three to five years and (iv) more than five years.
Mr Masagos Zulkifli B M M: The majority of Child Protective Service (CPS) staff have at least three years of relevant experience. In the past five years, about 15% of CPS staff had less than one year of relevant experience and about a quarter had one to three years' experience.
