54 Mr Leong Mun Wai asked the Minister for Manpower (a) whether he can provide the wage or salary breakdown of local and foreign PMETs in each industry for each year from 2020 to 2023; and (b) if not, why not.

Dr Tan See Leng: The salaries of non-resident Employment Pass (EP) and S Pass holders by industry are reflected in Tables 1 and 2 below, respectively. As EP and S Pass holders account for the majority of non-resident professional, manager, executive and technician (PMET) jobs, we have provided data on the salaries for EP and S Pass holders. We peg the minimum costs of hiring EP and S Pass holders to the top one-third of resident PMETs and associate professionals and technicians, respectively, to ensure that companies are bringing in top-tier talent. For resident income data, the Member may refer to the Ministry of Manpower's statistics webpage https://stats.mom.gov.sg.
