63 Mr Gan Thiam Poh asked the Minister for Transport (a) whether Changi Airport Terminal 4 will be completed and open for use ahead of schedule; and (b) what is the expected number of visitors that Terminal 4 will handle in its first three years of operation.

Mr Khaw Boon Wan: Construction of Changi Airport Terminal 4 is progressing well and is on schedule to be completed by the end of this year. This will be followed by operational trials and testing. We expect the terminal to commence operations in the second half of 2017.

Terminal 4 is expected to handle between eight and 10 million passengers annually in the first three years of operation.
