Reports of Fare Evasions by Passengers of Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles

28 Mr Don Wee asked the Minister for Transport (a) whether the Ministry has data on how often fare evasions by passengers of taxi and private hire vehicles are reported to their respective companies and LTA; (b) if so, what is the data; (c) what is the proportion of cases of successful fare recovery; and (d) what measures, which should include improving the fare evasion reporting procedures to LTA, are in place to enhance assistance to drivers to recover their fares.
