Proportion of Freehold, 999-year and Shorter Lease Landed Properties in Singapore

4 Mr Leong Mun Wai asked the Minister for Law what current proportion of landed properties in Singapore are (i) freehold (ii) on 999-year leases and (iii) on leases shorter than 999 years.

Mr K Shanmugam: Based on available records as of December 2024, around 73% of landed properties in Singapore are freehold and 14% are on 999-year leases. The remainder are on leases less than 999 years.
