3 Mr Sitoh Yih Pin asked the Prime Minister what is the current percentage of HDB homes with mortgages that are financed by commercial banks.

Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam (for the Prime Minister): As at the second half of 2022, 42% of all households who live in Housing and development Board (HDB) homes have outstanding mortgage loans. Of these, 63% were granted by HDB and the remaining 37% by financial institutions (FIs).
