8 Miss Cheng Li Hui asked the Minister for Transport whether the vehicles that are part of the islandwide electric car sharing programme will affect COE quotas.

Mr Khaw Boon Wan: As the Electric Vehicles (EV) Car-Sharing Scheme is a trial to test EVs in fleet-based operations, the Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) used to register the EVs will not be drawn from the COE quota.
