18 Mr Louis Ng Kok Kwang asked the Minister for Education for each year in the past five years, how many foreign students have been unable to pay their school fees and are removed from the primary school and secondary school they studied in, respectively.

Mr Chan Chun Sing: Over the past five years, on average, 0.2% of international students were not allowed to continue their study in the Ministry of Education schools due to fees arrears that remain unpaid despite repeated reminders. International students who require financial assistance can approach their schools, community or welfare organisations for advice on assistance that is available to them.
