23 Mr Leon Perera asked the Minister for Social and Family Development (a) in each of the past five years, what is the 20th percentile household income for resident households with children; and (b) what are the mean and median numbers of children in the bottom 20th percentile category of households with children, including those without working members.
Mr Masagos Zulkifli B M M: The Department of Statistics (DOS) has provided the following estimates based on the Comprehensive Labour Force Surveys 2016 to 2019 and the Census of Population 2020.
The mean and median numbers of children in the bottom 20th percentile category of households with children, including those without working members, are 1.7 and 1 respectively for the last five years.
