4 Ms Sylvia Lim asked the Minister for Transport what is the Government's assessment of the current physical accessibility of public transport to persons with disabilities.

Mr Khaw Boon Wan: Our public transport system is now largely accessible to persons with disabilities. First, all our Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) stations and bus interchanges have at least one barrier-free access route from the entrance to the concourse. Second, all MRT trains and 92% of public buses are wheelchair accessible. By 2020, all public buses will be so.
