Update on Measures to Mitigate Potential Environmental Impact at Revised A1W1 Worksite of Cross Island MRT Line

11 Mr Louis Ng Kok Kwang asked the Minister for Transport (a) whether he can provide an update on the measures that LTA has taken in consultation with nature groups to mitigate any potential environmental impact at the revised A1W1 worksite for the Cross Island MRT Line; (b) whether LTA is continuing to monitor any impact on the environment and wildlife at the revised A1W1 worksite; and (c) if so, whether the worksite has caused any impact on the environment and wildlife.

Mr Chee Hong Tat: In consultation with nature groups and National Parks Board, the Land Transport Authority has developed an Environmental Monitoring and Management Plan for the A1W1 worksite. The plan prescribes a comprehensive set of measures to mitigate the potential environmental impact at the worksite. Construction has not begun at this worksite.
