Trend of Charges for In-vitro Fertilisation Treatments

24 Mr Louis Ng Kok Kwang asked the Minister for Health (a) whether the costs for in-vitro fertilisation treatments at public hospitals and private clinics respectively have increased over the last 10 years; and (b) if so, what is the rate of increase.

Mr Ong Ye Kung: The cost of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) cycles at public Assisted Reproduction (AR) centres has increased by about 2% a year over the past decade. The Ministry does not track the cost of IVF at private AR centres.
