Ministry of ManpowerSpeakers
Transcript
46 Ms Mariam Jaafar asked the Minister for Manpower (a) whether the Ministry tracks the proportion of employed caregivers who provide substantial informal care, such as more than 20 hours per week, while remaining in full-time employment; and (b) how this pattern has changed over time.
Dr Tan See Leng: Results from a survey conducted by the Ministry of Manpower shows that among full-time employed residents providing care to family or non-family members, around six in 10 had spent 20 hours or more a week on caregiving activities in 2025.
As 2025 survey was the inaugural run, we do not have information on how this pattern has changed over time.
