52 Mr Louis Ng Kok Kwang asked the Minister for Transport following a meeting between the Ministry, trade associations and NGOs in October 2023, whether an update can be provided on the possibility of a timeline to ban the transportation of workers on the back of lorries.
Mr Chee Hong Tat (for the Minister for Transport): As stated in our previous response, the Government is committed to improving safety for all road users. We are working together with relevant stakeholders, including the industry and the civil society, to develop practical solutions. We will provide further updates when ready.
