Support or Counselling for Witnesses Traumatised by Acts of Violence

60 Ms Joan Pereira asked the Minister for Health whether there is any psychological support or counselling that is provided to public witnesses who are traumatised by acts of violence, such as those in the recent cases involving knife- and sword-wielding perpetrators.

Mr Ong Ye Kung: For witnesses who are assisting in Police investigations for acts of violence, the Police may refer them to resources, such as mental health helplines, counselling services run by trained professionals or the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) for mental health support.
