Statistics on Children Born in Singapore without Father's Name on Birth Certificate or with Father Named but Parents not Married at Date of Registration of Birth

29 Mr Kok Heng Leun asked the Minister for Social and Family Development over the last 10 years, what is the number of children born in Singapore who (i) do not have a father named on their birth certificate and (ii) have a father named on their birth certificate but the parents are not married on or before the date of registration of birth.

Mr Tan Chuan-Jin: From 2006 to 2015, there was a drop in the number of babies born each year to citizen mothers who were not married to the father of the child at the point of birth registration.
