SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support Scheme for Previously Self-Employed Individuals and Business Owners Re-entering Workforce and Number of Beneficiaries to Date

62 Ms Nadia Ahmad Samdin asked the Minister for Manpower (a) how the SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support scheme currently caters to support individuals who were previously self-employed or business owners but unfortunately needed to wind up their business and sought employment; and (b) how many of such individuals have benefited from the scheme to date.

Dr Tan See Leng: The SkillsFuture Jobseeker Support scheme provides temporary financial support to individuals who become involuntarily unemployed. Individuals who were previously self-employed, including owners of sole proprietorships or partnerships who have ceased their businesses, are not eligible for the scheme.
