Prospects of Lao PDR-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project to Import Hydropower from Laos

46 Ms Sylvia Lim asked the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry whether the Ministry can provide an assessment of the status and prospects of the Lao PDR-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project to import hydropower from Laos.

Mr Gan Kim Yong: Singapore has approved the next phase of the Lao PDR-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project. We will need the approvals from all four countries’ governments to proceed. Singapore is committed to working closely with our neighbours to advance the project.
