Property Tax Collected from Owner-occupied and Non-owner-occupied HDB Flats

1 Mr Leong Mun Wai asked the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance in each year since 2000, what percentage of the total property tax is collected from (i) owner-occupied HDB flats and (ii) non-owner-occupied HDB flats respectively.

Mr Lawrence Wong: The requested information spans over two decades and we are unable to provide such a long time series of data. For the period 2018 to 2022, owner-occupied and non-owner-occupied HDB flats contributed an average of 1.3% and 1.4% of the total property tax (PT) assessed each year respectively¹ .
