Private Developments on Freehold Land Sold as 99-year Leasehold Properties

59 Miss Cheryl Chan Wei Ling asked the Minister for National Development in respect of private developments on freehold land that are marked and sold as 99-year leasehold properties, what percentage of the residential properties in Singapore do such developments constitute.

Mr Lawrence Wong: As of April 2018, there are about 3,000 private residential units built on freehold and 999-year land but sold on shorter leases. This represents about 0.8% of the total stock of private residential properties in Singapore.
