35 Mr Victor Lye asked the Minister for Energy, Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry) (a) whether the Government tracks the prices of comparable common cooked meals across (i) NEA-managed hawker centres (ii) Socially-conscious Enterprise Hawker Centres (iii) HDB rental coffeeshops (iv) privately owned HDB coffeeshops and (v) private food courts; and (b) if so, what are the median prices and price differences across these categories over the past five years.

Dr Tan See Leng: The Department of Statistics (DOS) publishes the average prices of selected cooked food items, such as coffee, chicken rice, mee rebus and roti prata, sold at hawker centres, food courts and coffee shops on a monthly basis. The data can be found on DOS' website.1 Comparative data on the prices of these cooked food items across types of food establishments are not available.
