Plan to Better Protect Gig Workers and Measures to Balance Interests of Gig Work Organisations, Gig Workers and Consumers

52 Mr Ang Wei Neng asked the Minister for Manpower whether he can provide an update on (i) the plans to better protect gig workers and (ii) the measures to balance the interests of gig work organisations, gig workers and consumers in the wake of high inflation and a high-interest environment.

Dr Tan See Leng: On 23 November 2022, the Government accepted the Advisory Committee on Platform Workers’ recommendations to enhance protection for platform workers while balancing the interests of stakeholders.
