Open Door Programme Job Redesign Grant for Companies Hiring Persons with Disabilities on Part-time Basis

103 Miss Rachel Ong asked the Minister for Social and Family Development (a) whether the Open Door Programme Job Redesign Grant under SG Enable is extended to companies hiring persons with disabilities (PWDs) on a part-time basis; and (b) if so, what is the number of companies that have used this grant to support hiring of PWDs on a part-time basis in the last five years.

Mr Masagos Zulkifli B M M: Employers who hire persons with disabilities with an employment contract of at least one year can tap on the Open Door Programme Job Redesign Grant administered by SG Enable. This is regardless of whether the contract was offered on a part-time or full-time basis. The grant has supported over 110 organisations from 2019 to 2023. We do not have further breakdown by part-time or full-time employment of persons with disabilities hired by these organisations.
