New Sports to be Added under Strategic Partnership CCA Programme in 2024 and 2025

26 Ms Mariam Jaafar asked the Minister for Education (a) what new sports are being planned to be added in 2024 and 2025 under the Strategic Partnership CCA Programme; (b) whether football specifically can be added; and (c) whether international schools can be included in the programme.

Mr Chan Chun Sing: The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth are exploring with partners to add a few more sports to the programme and will announce them when ready. These sports are those not commonly offered in schools, such as athletics and water polo. As Strategic Partnership Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) Programme is still in its early development stages, international schools are not currently included.
