Need for Returning Singaporeans to Show Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination Status
Ministry of HealthSpeakers
Transcript
38 Mr Lim Biow Chuan asked the Minister for Health whether there is a need for Singaporeans entering Singapore to show evidence of a COVID-19 vaccination or a polymerase chain reaction test since vaccination-differentiated safe management measures have been lifted.
Mr Ong Ye Kung: With the year-end travel peak and the presence of COVID-19 infection waves in other countries, the Vaccinated Travel Framework remains a relevant measure. By identifying those who have not completed a primary course of vaccination, we can require them to take a pre-departure test and, for visitors, to purchase COVID-19 travel insurance before coming to Singapore.
