Mediation for Flexible Work Arrangement Requests
Ministry of ManpowerSpeakers
Transcript
32 Ms Yeo Wan Ling asked the Minister for Manpower (a) how many cases relating to the Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests (TG-FWAR) have been referred to the Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM) and Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) for mediation; and (b) what were the top three reasons for commencing mediation.
Dr Tan See Leng: Since the Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests (TG-FWAR) took effect on 1 December 2024, the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) has received one complaint. TAFEP has since worked with the company to revise its processes to be in line with the TG-FWAR. The Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management does not handle complaints related to TG-FWAR, and employees who feel that their flexible work arrangement requests are not properly considered should approach TAFEP for assistance. As there has only been one complaint to-date, it is not possible to identify the top reasons for seeking mediation.
