19 Mr Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim asked the Minister for Education (a) how are students, especially those in primary schools, equipped to deal with incidents or threats of bullying within or outside school premises; and (b) whether there is a standard whistleblowing channel or hotline for all students to report on a confidential basis regarding incidents or threats of such bullying.
20 Dr Wan Rizal asked the Minister for Education in view of the increasing severity and visibility of bullying incidents, including the use of social media to share such acts (a) how is the Character and Citizenship Education curriculum being enhanced to address bullying more explicitly; and (b) whether more should be done to equip Peer Support Leaders with the skills to intervene in and prevent bullying.
21 Dr Wan Rizal asked the Minister for Education (a) in each year of the past three years, how many students involved in bullying, both the bullies and victims, have been referred to and met with school counsellors; and (b) what specific measures are in place to ensure the psychological and emotional well-being of these students.
