Investigation into Meeting of Premium Cab Drivers at Changi Airport on 13 February 2025

13 Mr Xie Yao Quan asked the Minister for Home Affairs whether there is any police investigation into the meeting of drivers of premium cabs at Changi Airport on 13 February 2025.

Mr K Shanmugam: The Police made enquiries shortly after the incident and established that the meeting was a pre-planned dialogue to discuss the drivers' concerns over the introduction of minibus services at Changi Airport. There was no strike or protest involved and no law-and-order issues arose during the meeting. Police have assessed that there is no offence disclosed and will not be investigating further.
