Funds Raised by People’s Association and Mayors for Community and Charitable Causes in 2021

29 Mr Leong Mun Wai asked the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth what is the total amount of funds raised by People’s Association and the Office of the Mayors for community and charitable causes in 2021.

Mr Edwin Tong Chun Fai: The People's Association, including the Community Development Councils, works with corporate and community partners to help residents in need. In the past five years, an average of $29 million was raised each year to fund charitable and community programmes, such as welfare assistance, employment assistance and home refurbishments.
