Transcript

36 Mr Alex Yeo asked the Minister for Social and Family Development (a) whether there are existing subsidies for children with mild special educational needs studying in mainstream schools, who are turned away by mainstream school-based student care centres and not accepted by special student care centres, to attend private special student care centres; and (b) if not, whether the Ministry will consider extending subsidies to these children.

Mr Masagos Zulkifli B M M: Subsidies are available for students enrolled in school-based or community-based Student Care Centres, or in Special Student Care Centres, under the respective Fee Assistance programmes. The student's household must meet qualifying income thresholds.
