Estate Upgrading Programme for Private Estates

30 Ms Sylvia Lim asked the Minister for National Development whether and, if so, when the Government will be calling for proposals for new projects under the Estate Upgrading Programme for private estates.

Mr Lawrence Wong: It is the intention of the Government to continue to invite nominations for the Estate Upgrading Programme (EUP). The date for new nominations has yet to be determined. There are currently 17 ongoing EUP projects from various Batches island-wide, with the most recent under EUP Batch 9 being awarded their consultancy tenders just last month.

We would like to complete some of these ongoing projects first, before calling for new nominations. This will allow us to devote the requisite resources to better manage the new projects.
