Ensuring Road Safety in Marina South Area Given Presence of Construction Sites and Heavy Vehicles

27 Mr Lim Biow Chuan asked the Minister for National Development (a) how many construction work sites are located at the Marina South area; and (b) whether the Ministry monitors the number of heavy vehicles plying the roads leading to Marina South.

Mr Desmond Lee: There are currently five construction worksites in Marina South. They support infrastructure development such as roads, drains and sewers, as we progressively develop the area. The Ministry of National Development (MND) does not monitor the number of heavy vehicles on the roads leading to Marina South.
