Disqualification Orders against Animal Cruelty Offenders Owning Animals

8 Mr Louis Ng Kok Kwang asked the Minister for National Development in each year for the past five years (a) how many orders have been issued against offenders in animal cruelty cases disqualifying them from owning any animal; and (b) what are the average and median lengths of the disqualification orders issued.

Mr Desmond Lee: The number of disqualification orders issued against animal cruelty offenders from 2018 to 2022 and the breakdown of the disqualification period are shown in Table 1.
