Development of Unused Land in Choa Chu Kang

22 Mr Don Wee asked the Minister for National Development (a) whether the Ministry intends to develop the unused land at the junctions of (i) Keat Hong Link and Choa Chu Kang Avenue 7 (ii) Choa Chu Kang Avenue 7 and Choa Chu Kang Grove and (iii) Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5 and Choa Chu Kang Avenue 6; and (b) if so, what are the plans and when will the plans be carried out.

Mr Desmond Lee: The land parcel at the junction of Keat Hong Link and Choa Chu Kang Avenue 7 and the parcel at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5 and Choa Chu Kang Avenue 6 are both zoned Education Institution, and are planned for a primary and secondary school respectively. The land parcel at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Avenue 7 and Choa Chu Kang Grove is zoned for future housing and community uses. However, there are no immediate plans to develop these parcels. More details will be released when the development plans have been firmed up.
