Data on Private Companies Offering Flexible Care Leave for Healthcare and Mental Wellness from 2022 to 2025

48 Ms Lee Hui Ying asked the Minister for Manpower from 2022 to 2025, on average each year, what are the number and percentage of private companies that provide flexi-care leave, such as for medical appointments and mental wellness, to employees.
Dr Tan See Leng: Based on the Ministry of Manpower's survey of private companies1, an average of 67.8%, or about 10,400 companies, provided unplanned time-off for employees to attend to personal matters, including medical appointments and other caregiving needs, from 2022 to 2024. Over the same period, companies also offered other forms of non-statutory leave, including non-statutory paid family care leave2 (34.5% or 5,300), paid sick leave without medical certificate3 (27.9% or 4,600) and additional paid child sick leave4 (36.4% or 5,500).
