21 Ms See Jinli Jean asked the Minister for Manpower in respect of the training participation rate stated in the Labour Force in Singapore 2024 report, for each industry/sector (a) what proportion is attributed to employer-sponsored training; and (b) what are the median and average training days undertaken by (i) own account workers (ii) small-size enterprises (iii) medium-size enterprises and (iv) multi-national enterprises.

Dr Tan See Leng: The proportion of employed resident trainees who received employer-sponsored training in each industry is provided in Table 1 below.

The median and average (mean) number of training days by (i) own account workers, and employees from (ii) small enterprises, (iii) medium enterprises, and (iv) large enterprises are provided in Table 2. As there are too few observations in each worker group, it is not possible to further break down the data by industry.
