Data on Employers who Voluntarily Adopt National Wages Council 2024/2025 Guidelines

67 Mr Fadli Fawzi asked the Minister for Manpower (a) whether the Ministry tracks the number of employers who voluntarily adopt the National Wages Council 2024/2025 Guidelines; (b) if so, what percentage of employers have adopted the guidelines for a wage increase of at least 5.5% for workers earning less than $2,500 per month; and (c) how this compares with adoption of previous years' guidelines.

Dr Tan See Leng: The Ministry of Manpower tracks employers' adoption of the National Wages Council Guidelines via the Survey on Annual Wage Changes.

The adoption rate of the Guidelines for lower-wage workers is published in the Ministry's annual report on "Wage Practices for Lower-wage Employees and Forward Expectations of Establishments". The adoption rate of the 2024/2025 Guidelines for lower-wage workers will be published in the upcoming edition of the report.
