Ministry of National DevelopmentSpeakers
Transcript
73 Mr Louis Ng Kok Kwang asked the Minister for National Development for each year in the past five years, what are the mean and median costs borne by the National Parks Board for the costs and expenses incurred in the maintenance and treatment of animals seized during investigations.
Mr Desmond Lee: The National Parks Board (NParks) bears the costs and expenses involved in the maintenance and treatment of animals in its centres. This includes animals that have been seized during investigations, as well as those that are brought to the centres under the Trap-Neuter-Rehome/Release-Manage programme for community cats and dogs.
NParks does not track the costs and expenses incurred in the maintenance and treatment of specific animals.
