Concerns with Provision of Identity and Bank Details to Overseas Entities When Applying for Malaysia's Vehicle Entry Permit

35 Mr Gan Thiam Poh asked the Minister for Transport whether the Government has any concerns with the requirements for Singaporeans to provide all their passport, NRIC and bank details, with copies of the actual documents, to overseas entities in their applications for Malaysia's Vehicle Entry Permit and the required Touch 'n Go e-Wallet account.

Mr Chee Hong Tat: The Malaysia Vehicle Entry Permit is a requirement which falls under the jurisdiction of the Malaysian Road Transport Department.
