33 Mr Ng Shi Xuan asked the Minister for Social and Family Development what is the current breakdown of the number of preschools that use (i) in-house cooks (ii) ready-to-eat meals and (iii) catered hot food.
Mr Masagos Zulkifli B M M: The Early Childhood Development Agency does not track the breakdown of food provision arrangements in preschools. All preschools, regardless of food provision arrangements, must adhere to meals and food hygiene requirements specified in the Early Childhood Development Centres Regulations and Code of Practice. This includes ensuring that food premises are clean and pest-free, and implementing proper procedures for food storage.
