42 Ms Hazel Poa asked the Minister for National Development of the 128 Ethnic Integration Policy-related appeals that HDB acceded to in 2022, what is the breakdown of appellants by ethnicity.

Mr Desmond Lee: In 2022, the Housing and Development Board (HDB) received 411 Ethnic Integration Policy-related appeals from flat owners. HDB acceded to 128 appeals (correct as at 21 March 2023), of which, the breakdown by ethnicity is as follows:

a) 92 from flat owners of Indian/Other race;

b) 29 from Malay flat owners; and

c) seven from Chinese flat owners.
