Applications Received for and Outcomes of Persons with Disabilities’ (PWDs) Taxi Subsidy Scheme from 2022 to 2025

38 Mr Patrick Tay Teck Guan asked the Minister for Social and Family Development for each year from 2022 to 2025 (a) how many Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) Taxi Subsidy Scheme applications were received; and (b) of these, how many were successful.

Mr Masagos Zulkifli B M M: The Taxi Subsidy Scheme supports Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident persons with disabilities who are medically certified as unable to take public transport and totally dependent on taxi. The scheme provides means-tested subsidies to offset the cost of taxi travel for the purposes of school, work and employment-related training supported by SG Enable.
