Appeal Process and Restoration Rates of Removed Social Media Accounts of Scam-linked Entities

9 Mr Alex Yeo asked the Senior Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs arising out of the SPF report on 22 September 2026 of their collaboration with Meta against scam-linked entities, pages and accounts on Facebook and Instagram (a) whether the SPF or Meta received any appeals against the removals of these entities, accounts or pages; and (b) if so, how many appeals were received and how many entities, accounts or pages were restored.

Mr K Shanmugam: The Police did not directly receive any appeals arising from this collaboration with Meta.
