Addressing Employers' Concerns over Flexible Work Arrangements and Convincing Them of Benefits for Hiring

53 Mr Yip Hon Weng asked the Minister for Manpower in view of mandated considerations for flexible work arrangements under the tripartite guidelines that are leading local employers to hire foreign workers with minimal skill differentiation and greater flexibility in working hours and expected salaries (a) what measures are available to address employers' concerns; (b) how will the Government convince them on the benefits of local hiring; and (c) whether the Ministry has studied the impact of such guidelines on the employability of Singaporeans.
