Clarification by Minister for Home Affairs

The Minister for Home Affairs (Mr K Shanmugam): Sir, thank you for allowing me to make a clarification.

In answer to Ms Sylvia Lim's question, I pointed out that the amounts of fine imposed on the two officers are different. They are different. I should clarify that they were calculated by reference to the number of months of increment that they would have gotten. The number of months is the same for both officers, but the amounts they paid are different – and that is the fine that is being imposed.
