16 Mr Neil Parekh Nimil Rajnikant asked the Minister for Trade and Industry with regard to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on a Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, what is the Ministry's assessment on how trade associations and chambers of commerce from Singapore and Johor can contribute to help both countries achieve the agreed goals.

Mr Gan Kim Yong: The Ministry of Trade and Industry welcomes inputs and suggestions from Trade Associations and Chambers on the proposed Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ). We have started working with the Singapore Business Federation to plan for an investors forum on the JS-SEZ. Beyond this, we intend to regularly seek industry feedback as discussions on the JS-SEZ progress.
