Transcript

67 Ms Poh Li San asked the Minister for Transport with regard to the recent fare increase announced by the Public Transport Council (a) whether the public transport services remain economically sustainable moving forward, given that the Ministry provided an additional $250 million subsidy this year; and (b) how does Singapore fare in terms of transport fare increases compared to other large cities with similar public transport systems, such as Hong Kong, Seoul and Taipei, over the last four years.

I will address them together in my reply at the 16 October 2024 Parliament Sitting.
