Studies on Public Perceptions on Wakes and After-death Arrangements

81 Mr David Hoe asked the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment (a) whether the Ministry has commissioned studies on public perceptions of wakes and after-death arrangements; and (b) if so, whether and when insights will be publicly communicated to encourage conversations and shape community attitudes toward wakes in neighbourhoods.

Ms Grace Fu Hai Yien: My Ministry will study various aspects of after-death practices from time to time. Such studies inform and support policy making and reviews. Currently there is no active study.
