Transcript

16 Dr Wan Rizal asked the Minister for Education whether the Ministry has a structured process to (i) review findings from international surveys, such as the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development Teaching and Learning International Survey and (ii) formulate and implement any recommendations following its review.

Mr Desmond Lee: Singapore participates in international surveys, such as the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development's Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS), to benchmark against and learn from practices in other education systems. The survey findings are reviewed and complement other data sources that the Ministry of Education draws insights from to inform our policymaking and programme development.
