Standards to Measure and Verify Accuracy of EV Charging to Enhance EV Consumer Protection

76 Mr Melvin Yong Yik Chye asked the Acting Minister for Transport (a) whether Singapore has established standards for measuring and verifying the accuracy of electric vehicle (EV) charging, similar to those applied to fuel pump meter flow; and (b) if not, whether there are plans to introduce such standards to enhance consumer protection for EV users.

Mr Jeffrey Siow: International standards for measuring and verifying the accuracy of electric vehicle charging are currently under development, which we will study when they are ready.
